Mitsui Fudosan and Global Brain have made an additional investment in SUPER STUDIO Inc., a provider of the integrated commerce platform \u2018ecforce\u2019, through 31VENTURES \u2013 Global Brain \u2013 Growth I Project (31VENTURES), the JPY 30 billion venture investment project jointly managed with Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd. (Mitsui Fudosan), mainly targeting growth stage startups. This is an additional investment following the initial investment in June 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
D2C brands, where manufacturers sell products directly to consumers, are growing rapidly, and the number of digitally native brands that specialize in online sales is also rapidly increasing. On the other hand, many D2C and e-commerce brands are looking for opportunities to expand their sales channels and grow but are unable to do so due to various factors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We invested in SUPER STUDIO as a lead investor in June 2022. Through this investment, Mitsui Fudosan and SUPER STUDIO are working to provide OMO solutions to EC brands by combining SUPER STUDIO’s expertise in EC operations with Mitsui Fudosan’s strength in real assets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In July 2023, “THE [ ] STORE,” the first real store provided as an OMO solution, opened in “RAYARD MIYASHITA PARK,” a commercial facility within MIYASHITA PARK developed by Mitsui Fudosan. THE [ ] STORE” solves various issues associated with opening real stores for e-commerce brands and supports business growth through a combination of real and digital operations. It also provides customers with the experience of coming into contact with a variety of popular EC brands that they would not normally encounter in a real store, and encountering products they did not know existed and a diverse range of EC brands. In addition, we will strive to build and expand an eco-system that creates a new purchasing experience, including total support for delivery using our logistics bases and collaboration with “&mall” in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since our initial investment in 2022, we have noticed a growing trend among businesses that are launching e-commerce services to maximize their revenue potential. In this evolving landscape, SUPER STUDIO has transformed its flagship product, ‘ecforce\u2019, into an integrated commerce platform that goes beyond traditional e-commerce, providing support to various types of businesses. We anticipate further growth for SUPER STUDIO, as it strives not to be just an e-commerce platform but to expand its offerings to include both online and offline solutions for its customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mitsui Fudosan has evaluated the growth potential, influence, and innovation of SUPER STUDIO and has decided to provide additional funding. Through this investment, we will actively support SUPER STUDIO as their partner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
